注：一个皇后可以罩住其所在的横竖及对角线上的所有点

question. There is no typo here. But, sean9991 is right. Same question for regular 8x8 chess board is nore interesting.

i dont know if it is typo or not, but it is worth thinking about. for one thing if not hitting each other is not required, 3 is enough. a1, c5, e3 cover the 6x6 board.

Of coz 6x6 is a typo, do you think you can use it as a chess board, or shall we even call it a chess board? Reduce its size by 2 also make the question of less value, if not worthless.

fzy is right, the correct answer for this question is 4.

One of the answer is the 4 queens at: a1, b6, d5, f2.

First this is a 6x6 board if no typo. Second it says how many queens to covor the board, while the old problem requires not hitting each other.
